Prof Thomas Baaken (PhD) is coming to Adelaide in early November, and will be gracing the researchers of Flinders University with his presence as a facilitator at the final Research to Outcome workshop for 2008.

Time Management and Office Productivity training in Samoa
Hugh Kearns from Flinders University Staff Development and Training Unit will be in Samoa at the end of October training local staff on time management and office productivity. He will be located in the capital of Apia, training a small group to manage their time and prioritise their multiple responsibilities.

Extra, extra, read all about it! Flinders Partners has just launched the first three handbooks in its brand-new “cheat sheet” series. “How Flinders Partners relates to you,” “Commercialisation Myths and Tips,” and “The Researcher Cheat Sheet” are the first publications to be released in this tell-all series.
Medical Meet Your Match
Our first Medical Meet Your Match went off with a bang on Wednesday 3 September. The event attracted 25 government, industry and academic participants actively operating within the health and medical area.
AusAID Australian Leadership Awards Fellowships
Flinders University have been successful in securing funding under the AusAID’s Australian Leadership Awards Fellowships program. Indonesian and Vietnamese leaders and/or mid-career professionals drawn from various agencies will participate in the Flinders University program to be held in Adelaide in the last quarter of 2008.

Flinders Partners and Flinders University’s Flinders Institute of Public Policy and Management (FIPPM) have been successful in securing a contract to deliver a short course to a select group of Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) personnel in Indonesia.

Flinders Partners Inaugural Meet Your Match
The highly anticipated Flinders Partners Meet Your Match event finally staged on Wednesday July 30. The event attracted 21 government, industry and academic participants actively operating within the area of environmental management.
Flinders Partners Student Program
The first-ever Flinders Partners Student Program concluded on June 25. Following a competitive application and interview process, four excellent Flinders University students from the Flinders Business School were admitted into the three week-program.
Trans Tasman Commercialisation Fund
Friday, July 11, saw the launch of the new Trans Tasman Commercialisation Fund; with around 60 guests celebrating this exciting new venture. The fund is a unique collaboration between the three South Australian Universities and the Universities of Auckland and Monash, with support from SA and VIC State Governments, and the Government of NZ.
National Healthy Schools Canteen Project
Flinders Partners and the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Flinders University have won a $1.25m tender with Department of Health and Ageing to work on the National Healthy Schools Canteen Project.
Indonesia Australia Specialised Training Project
Flinders Partners and Flinders Institute of Public Policy and Management have won a tender to be involved in the development of a Training of Trainers (ToT) program, suitable to train a broad range of relevant personnel across Indonesia in District and Provincial Financial Management.
