Commercialisation Australia grant for light therapy glasses
In an official Media Release 14 July 2010, Innovation Minister, Senator Kim Carr, announced over $2.2 million in support for eleven new projects including a grant for Re-Time Pty Ltd, a spin-off company from Flinders University.

Flinders University Researchers Engage with the State’s Leading Industry Experts
Flinders Partners delivered its acclaimed Research to Outcomes workshop last Friday, 16 April 2010. The event attracted 25 participants representing industry and Flinders University. The workshop, delivered by Flinders Partners Managing Director Anthony Francis, was aimed at de-mystifying the ‘black art’ of commercialisation. There were many interesting case studies which held valuable lessons for industry and University researchers alike.
Vice-Chancellor announces official release of Ask
Could your research have commercial potential? Well Flinders Partners have officially released Ask – the world’s first innovation software - to help get your ideas out of the lab and out into the world. Ask provides a dynamic platform to assess, manage, advance and report on research projects with commercial application. It is web-based software and thus easily accessible. Licensing Deal with SA Health
Flinders Partners has successfully licensed IP developed by Professor Malcolm Battersby of Flinders Human Behaviour and Health Research Unit to SA Health. The deal which went through on 24th April, 2009 was for the Partners in Health (PIH) Scale, a resource developed as part of the “Flinders Program” of Chronic Condition Self Management (CCSM).
ASK sparks interest in the US!
ASK is the specialist opportunity software being developed by Flinders Partners in collaboration with US partner InnoVista. For those of you that not have heard the hype, ASK is easy-to-use web-based software that has been specially developed to assist individuals and groups that deal with the commercialisation of ideas and technologies.

Licence Deal with Xenome
Flinders Partners successfully licensed collaborative IP developed by Flinders University and Flinders Medical Centre researchers to biotechnology company Xenome Limited on 19 November 2008. The licensed technology will assist in the development of drugs to arrest acute pancreatitis, a condition that causes hundreds of thousands of hospitalisations around the world each year.
The Professor is Coming to Adelaide!
Prof Thomas Baaken (PhD) is coming to Adelaide in early November, and will be gracing the researchers of Flinders University with his presence as a facilitator at the final Research to Outcome workshop for 2008.

The highly anticipated Flinders Partners Meet Your Match event finally staged on Wednesday July 30. The event attracted 21 government, industry and academic participants actively operating within the area of environmental management.
Flinders Partners Student Program
The first-ever Flinders Partners Student Program concluded on June 25. Following a competitive application and interview process, four excellent Flinders University students from the Flinders Business School were admitted into the three week-program.
Trans Tasman Commercialisation Fund
Friday, July 11, saw the launch of the new Trans Tasman Commercialisation Fund; with around 60 guests celebrating this exciting new venture. The fund is a unique collaboration between the three South Australian Universities and the Universities of Auckland and Monash, with support from SA and VIC State Governments, and the Government of NZ.
