Since 2001 I have performed many functions at Flinders University; I have coordinated numerous projects and tender submissions with Flinders Consulting prior to delivering business development roles with Flinders Partners. In 2008, I deployed with the Defence Force to the Solomon Islands. In my current role I support the Managing Director to ensure the effective operation of Flinders Partners and delivery of agreed outcomes.

Ben is responsible for the Faculty of Health Sciences. Having worked for Morgan Stanley in Los Angeles, Technology Commercialisation Group and Deloitte Consulting in Australia, Ben provides a solid commercial focus to advancing technologies.

Ben is also an investment committee member for the Trans Tasman Commercial Fund which invests seed stage capital into early stage research projects and spinout companies.

Aisha has a bachelor and masters degree in Environmental Management and is a certified environmental auditor. Her initial experience was in an environmental remediation company focusing on business development and consulting. During this time she built strategic relationships across the environmental sector and has established a broad network of contacts. Her role at Flinders Partners now encompasses providing project management support to researchers of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Science & Engineering for all their external commercial projects including consulting and contract R&D projects. Aisha has developed specific skills and interests in the areas of environmental auditing and management; demography; archaeology; and biotechnology within the University’s commercial arm over the last 3 years.

Melissa has joined Flinders Partners after working for Technology Commercialisation Group and Deloitte Consulting, where she completed work for a wide variety of Australian and international companies, as well as various Government departments.

Emma is a qualified solicitor specialising in contract and intellectual property law combined with commercial management experience. She is dedicated to creating an environment where corporate objectives can be achieved through combining creativity and innovation within a professional, strategic, risk management and outcome orientated support structure. Has over 10 years experience spanning federal government, higher education and most recently company roles.

Georgina is a solicitor having practised and taught for 20 years in all areas of law, mainly in commercial law and litigation and procedure. She has provided advice to both small start-up and large national companies in, among other things, corporate governance, intellectual property protection and employment law. Her work at Flinders involves advising on legal aspects of research funding, ensuring compliance with funding rules, University policy and the protection of the research outcomes of staff and students of the University in line with national standards applicable to research. Her role is primarily to manage risk in an increasingly complex research environment where collaborations with partners from all over the world must frequently be negotiated.

Tanya is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years experience in Audit and Accounting. Her career includes working for KPMG and several large Corporate Organisations including Elders and Orlando Wyndham. She is dedicated to creating a Finance Department that meets the needs of users by providing timely, accurate and relevant reporting to enable informed decisions to be made.

Louise is responsible for providing a wide-range of finance and administrative functions for Flinders Partners and its subsidiaries. Louise attained several years experience in finance at the University of Manchester prior to employment at Flinders Consulting as the finance assistant, and subsequently Flinders Partners as the primary contact for finance matters.
